Chemistry for Kids
pH — Acids, Neutral & Bases
The pH scale runs from 0 to 14 and tells us whether a liquid is acidic, neutral, or basic (alkaline). It measures the concentration of hydrogen ions (H+) in a solution.
- pH < 7 — Acidic (lemon juice, vinegar, stomach acid)
- pH = 7 — Neutral (pure water)
- pH > 7 — Basic / Alkaline (baking soda, soap, bleach)
Interactive Experiments
🌈
pH Scale Explorer
Click numbers on the pH scale or test household items. Learn what each pH value means with real-world examples.
🧪Virtual Litmus Test
Pour chemicals into a beaker and dip litmus paper. Watch it change color — red for acids, blue for bases.
⚗️Acid-Base Titration Lab
Drop sodium hydroxide into hydrochloric acid. Find the exact neutralization point and watch the pH curve form in real time.
